Lesson Learned

So, no matter how doable it sounds, it's just not a good idea to start grilling a ham and cheese sandwich and then decide you'll just change the baby's diaper real quick.  Right.  Said diaper ends up having more in it than you expected.  Grab more wipes.  Then, right as you are fastening the clean diaper, sweet baby will decide to pee all over himself and his clothes.  At this point, you should probably loosely fasten now-wet diaper and run to the stove to flip sandwich.  The first side will be a little darker than you were hoping.  Now, you run to the nursery (where sister is sleeping.  That's why you're changing a diaper on the living room floor) and grab another diaper (the diaper bag was out) and some clean clothes.  Now, you should probably check the sandwich on your way back.  (I didn't).  Put the clean diaper on.  Put the clean onesie on.  Oh, yeah, the sandwich.  You check on the sandwich.  Side two is borderline blackened.  Oh well.  You finish dressing the baby.  You try to put him down for his nap so that you can eat your sandwich.  He does not agree that this is the appropriate course of action.  You get him out of his crib and hold him while you eat your overdone sandwich.  And you thank God that you have the opportunity to learn such lessons.
